Jacques Jonathan Nyemb

His practice focuses on local and international corporate and financial transactions including business creation and development, large project investments, private equity and leverage and structured finance. He also advises governments and other local or international public and private entities in policy-making and regulations. He was notably member of the Experts Team in charge of revising OHADA Corporate Law.

Mr. Nyemb joined Cabinet Nyemb in 2016 with more than six years of experience working in Europe and USA. He was notably Associate in the Paris office of Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP from 2010 to 2014. He also worked for other top international law firms (Sullivan & Cromwell LLP, Clifford Chance LLP, etc.) and organizations (OHADA, International Chamber of Commerce, etc.). He has been Teaching Assistant in Public Policy at Harvard University and is currently a guest lecturer on “Law and Practice of International Finance” at the Catholic University of Central Africa. Mr. Nyemb also currently serves on the boards of various non-profit organizations in Europe and Africa.

Jacques Jonathan Nyemb holds a Masters in Public Administration from Harvard University Kennedy School of Government and an LL.M. with Merit in Banking Law and Financial Regulation from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He also graduated magna cum laude and valedictorian from the Paris II Pantheon-Assas University (DESS Droit Bancaire et Financier). He has been admitted to the Paris Bar and is a member of the Cameroonian Bar. He is fluent in French and English.
